Fishing Pictures from the Past: Inshore and Offshore with the Hermans
Greg Herman and his Family have been Inshore and Offshore fishing with me for the last 11 years. He is helping me get this new fishing blog off the ground and emailed over some pictures from some of our past fishing trips.
We will post and archive all of our fishing pictures that clients send in from their past fishing trips aboard the High Cotton. Just email your pics over to fishhighcotton@gulftel.com and label the subject fishing pictures!
I grew up in Montgomery, AL and moved to Orange Beach in 1985, where I began working on a fuel dock at a local marina. At the fuel dock is where I really began to learn about boats and what it takes to operate them. Here I became friends with all the local charter captains, and one in particular Captain John Stewart eventually took me under his wing and taught me how to fish the Gulf of Mexico! Stewart let me go on his commercial trips on the Old Peddler and the Hang Out. I thought the boats were wonderful and the experience gained about their boats and the Gulf has proved to be the building block of my career. From John and others, I soaked up as much information from their experiences as possible! I have been the captain of the High Cotton for the last 6 years. As its captain, I hope I can relay the personal touches I have offered the owner Paul Kell to anyone who charters the boat and enhance their experience by being able to offer different types of fishing trips (in-shore trips are also available on the Record Holder) as well as offering the convenience of lodging at the private dock in Orange Beach, AL.
